Use Case Example
Multicoupler HC-VHF-4 is a 4-channel VHF TX/RX antenna combiner designed to allow two UHF repeaters to share a single antenna. Designed in the UK, the HC-VHF-4 delivers excellent TX-RX and TX-TX separation in a compact 2U rack-mount chassis. HC-VHF-4 can be deployed immediately using TX 167 MHz ± 2 MHz and RX 172 MHz ± 2 MHz, or tuned to any frequency from 136 MHz to 174 MHz.
Multicoupler HC-VHF-4 uses a bandpass duplexer, meaning only the intended signals pass through the combiner.
Custom designed transmit isolators ensure maximum TX-TX isolation and minimal intermodulation.
A high gain low noise amplifier (LNA) offsets insertion losses, ensuring receiver sensitivity is maintained, even when split 4 ways.
Multicoupler HC-UHF-4 is a 4-channel hybrid TX/RX combiner, meaning it manages both transmit and receive in a single unit.
This allows 4 repeaters operating on adjacent frequencies to safely share one antenna while maintaining clean signal separation paths and stable operation.
Carefully engineered, the HC-VHF-4 minimises any de-sense and intermodulation between channels - making it ideal for installations with 4 repeaters.
Combine 4 VHF repeaters into one antenna with minimal loss.
High TX-TX isolation for reduced intermodulation.
Integrated RX low noise amplifier to overcome combiner losses.
Wide VHF coverage (136-174 MHz) for maximum flexibility.
Stylish and compact 2U rack-mount design for easy, neat and tidy installation.
12V DC powered – ideal for fixed sites or backup power systems
Cost-effective alternative to traditional cavity-based systems
Multicoupler HC-VHF-4 offers an ideal balance of performance, simplicity, and affordability. Designed for low to medium power multi repeater systems, HC-VHF-4 delivers adequate isolation and reliability. For two-channel sites looking to reduce antenna count, cable runs, and overall system cost, the HC-VHF-4 is a smart, space-efficient solution.
